Ashley and Krishna hosted a two day wedding for their nearest and dearest friends. Together with a great team of Kansas City wedding vendors, we pulled together their opulent jewel toned wedding at Grand Hall the day after their Hindu ceremony. This day included a traditional ceremony with a reception immediately following, right in the heart of the Kansas City Power & Light District.Â

Wedding Ceremony
A stunning backdrop was created as the focal piece of the ceremony. Once the draping was hung, flowers were elegantly suspended, and accent lighting was turned on to enhance the space, the stage was set! Guests were welcomed to the sounds of string live music filling the historic venue. And as they passed the custom signage at the entrance, they walked into view of the towering two-story, art-deco glory of Grand Hall.Â
Krishna and Ashley exchanged rings and customized vows as their bridesmaids and groomsmen stood to either side of them. There were a few misty eyes in the room as Krishna spoke his heartfelt words to Ashley – and then a small laugh as he tried to gain his composure to finish his vows.Â
It was a beautiful ceremony, both visually and in meaning, and we were thankful to be able to provide the audio support to make every word was heard clearly.Â
Wedding Reception
After the ceremony concluded, the room was transformed. Ceremony chairs moved out as guest tables moved in, adorned in navy linens with stunning floral arrangements on top. The jewel toned linens, napkins, and florals were the perfect accents to stand glorious alongside the historical architecture.Â
The evening started with a fun wedding party introduction down the main staircase followed by the ultimate grand entrance for the Bride and Groom. They were cheered on by their guests as they walked the second floor balcony, made their way down the stairs and went straight to the dance floor for their first dance. Introductions are crucial for creating excitement for the reception, and they did not disappoint!Â
The remainder of the evening included dinner, toasts and the most epic dance party!
Being a part of this jewel toned wedding at Grand Hall was one of the highlights of our Fall wedding season in Kansas City. A special thank you to Krishna and Ashley for allowing us to DJ your big day.
