Payton and Zane reached out to us to be a part of their Memorial Day weekend wedding and it was an easy “Yes!”. Not only were they a lovely couple to work with, but they had also set the date to host their elegant wedding at Hawthorne House, one of our favorites venues in the Northland area of Kansas City. We pride ourselves in always being able to create unique events, but that doesn’t always come with over-the-top design; intimate weddings just like this one, reminds us that it is the small moments that can be the most powerful.

Wedding Ceremony
The wedding ceremony was held outside at the gazebo in front of the main building at Hawthorne House. And while we don’t recommend outdoor weddings in the thick of summer in Kansas City, this Memorial Day turned out to be the perfect day for a wedding.
Our team was honored to set up the speakers and microphones for the wedding so that all the guests could hear the couple’s important song selections as they walked down the aisle and the vows as the couple read shared their most precious promises to each other.
Wedding Reception
Following the wedding, the celebration moved to the main reception hall on the property. The classic coloring of white, gold, black, and green adorned the venue for a timeless look. Together with the couple and planner we created a timeline of events to execute the day of the wedding, and everything flowed perfectly! We introduced the wedding party and couple into the reception and shortly after entertained guests with the Him/Her Shoe Game. Heartfelt toasts from the Best Man, Maid of Honor and Father. Guests caught the vibe and danced throughout the reception.
